Our plain caramels are made from an old family recipe preserved in a candy-making book dating to the 1800s. We still make them with sugar, glucose, local cream, and butter, cooked in a copper kettle.
When the caramel reaches the right temperature, we pour it onto our marble slab and let it rest overnight before cutting it by hand. These are the caramels without a chocolate coating—just the original caramel recipe on its own.
